Hello! I’m Joey!
I’m a Cincinnati-based filmmaker who is in love with great stories, especially romantic comedies and coming-of-age films, so it’s no surprise I ended up documenting real-life love stories for a living.
In college, I studied Digital Media but spent nearly all my electives in creative writing courses. One class in particular that I was obsessed with was a Documentary Storytelling class, where every week we’d grab our cameras and head out to film an event. That class solidified my passion for asking deeper questions, staying curious, and capturing moments as they unfold (It also led to some pretty fun adventures following a local rock band on tour, and meeting some unforgettable characters at the Ohio Ren Fest).
I love guiding my couples as they tell their one-of-a-kind story through real, human moments. My goal is to create heartfelt, full-of-life films that blend cinematic beauty with deeply personal storytelling, and it is important for me to create films you’ll want to watch again and again, and one day share with your growing family as part of your legacy.
I’d love to hear more about your story and what you’re dreaming up for your wedding day! Click below to get connected!
The Super Planet Media Spirit
In 1977, NASA created the Golden Records, two time capsules filled with music, images, and sounds that show what makes life on Earth so beautiful. They were sent into space with the goal that if someone, somewhere out there, ever found them, they’d get a glimpse of what it means to be human and our connection with one another. Since starting Super Planet Media in 2018, this idea has always stuck with me.
I want my films to have that same kind of spirit. Films that capture love, connection, and all the small, seemingly unimportant moments that make weddings so special. Keepsakes that become something you can look back on, share with family and friends who couldn’t be there, and someday show your kids so they can see what your love looked like at the very beginning.
Just like those Golden Records, I believe sharing a piece of yourself through story is one of the greatest gifts you can give. And that’s why I feel so lucky every time I get to capture a wedding day. It’s not just a film, it’s a little time capsule for your future family.
